Product Story

The product name is based on an old Finnish saying that describes total disintegration and simultaneously refers to past sauna traditions.

In the 19th century, so-called pillun päreet (literally "cunt's kindling") or vitukkeet (a coarse word for 'bitch' or 'whore') served as sauna bench covers before the widespread use of linen bench towels. They were made from shaved wood kindling and were a common part of sauna culture. The name also brings to mind the saying of lumberjacks:

"That wood is surely enough for a thousand cunt's kindling."

The bench cover brings a piece of Finnish sauna tradition and storytelling to the sauna.
